i must admit...

She did look good...

Donning not one but three (but of course) Givenchy couture outfits, and a fantastic head-piece courtesy of the one and only Phillip Treacy, Madge looked pretty A-Okay.

And Ms Ciccone's penchant for designer didn't end there, dripping in Bvlgari jewels, her mitts in fingerless Givenchy and those tootsies of hers covered my Miu Miu, it was a treat for the peepers for anyone of fashionable inclination.

However, I'm not quite sure whether the 53 year-old should be doing this...

or this...

or this...

I must say the performance was pretty awesome, especially seeing Cee Lo Green in this outfit (Czech out the studded shoes!!)

Sexy ladies Nicki Minaj and M.I.A looked super hot as cheerleaders, in Fausto Puglisi outifts, their headwear from Erickson Beamon.

Naughty Brit M.I.A was critisized for "trying to steal the show" by flipping off the cameras and saying, dun, dun, dunnnn... "Shit".

But, err, who really gives a crap?

shirts for spring

You know what I thought whilst clicking through Style.com's fabulous and extensive array of catwalk collections..? 'Bugger me, there's a lot of blouses!' And so it seems this understated staple will be big in the game throughout the sunnier seasons.

Givenchy

I do love a good shirt, whether it be the classic, starched-to-within-an-inch-of-its-life brighty whitey (which I cannot allow myself to wear, too many stains to inevitably fail at avoiding) or some over-sized men's denim piece, I will grace it with my presence. I am especially fond of shirts with exciting buttons, or verging on grotesque patterns. One thing that gets me a bit down about shirts however, is the ironing. Luckily some of the sheer numbers one can only steam (or hairdryer- hurrah!) but the regular ones tend to dupe me, in regards to the sleeves and that little gathered bit at the back. I can never get it quite right.

Oh well, here's the bony and beautiful...

all that glitters is not gone

After a month off from writing anything but orders for cream teas, I thought it high time to get my life sorted...

This bleak January day may seem a far cry from the sunny optimism of spring, but
impatiently waiting round the corner are the hysterical fashion weeks, showcasing next winter's trends, so allow me to get you ahead of the game and thinking strictly spring/summer.

If you are mourning the recently passed party season, dry your eyes mate, 'cause spring/summer '12 can't get her little hands on enough embellished and metallic delights, thank God. With haute couture Adonises Balmain, Dolce & Gabbana and Givenchy going for gold, you needn't squirrel your spangles away. Dust them off, wipe them down and shimmy yourself inside, because spring is all over the razzle dazzle.
