things i wish i could have bought yesterday

As ladies who lunch, my sister and I decided to embark upon a little shopping trip to the beautiful Oxford yesterday. Although a lovely time was had by all (I'm not quite sure this could be said for my one-year-old nephew), we were no doubt left a little deflated once the six-hour shopping spree was over, for a two reasons. One, in my sister's case, she was after a new dress, and although she had the money to spend, there was nothing quite right to spend it on. And two, in regards to me, I had no money (a rather crucial element to the shopping trip experience).
I managed to talk myself out of liking many an item, none-the-less, there were a few that managed to slip through the net...

River Island Peep Toe Slingback Sandals £25

Topshop Cropped Tee £8

Topshop MOTO High Waist Peppermint Jamie Jeans £40

Miss Selfridge Oversized Lemon Shirt was £30 now £12

Zara TRF Printed T-shirt £17.99

One day I will be able to afford to buy things again, one day, when I have a job and get paid and don't have to work for free *looks wistfully off into the distance* ahhhh.

spring showers

Well, the past few days have been delightful have they not?! Unseasonably warm and sunny, getting all and sundry in the mood for spring. But we all know what comes hand-in-hand with that (no, not cleaning) April showers! Luckily for us, the rather practical plastic raincoat was heard squeaking up and down the S/S12 catwalks, and I even spotted my first high street number earlier today (Topshop, naturally) so here’s the best in placcy macs of the designer world…

london fashion week

This past week I've been clattering around the city in unsensible shoes, standing annoyed in many a queue and slouching uncomfortably on hard wooden benches (if seated at all) this was London Fashion Week. And I thoroughly enjoyed every minute.
All of my content is up on the Glam website who took me back for the week, but here's a couple of my favourite shows...

Phoebe English
Designs were simple, yet so well executed; angular yet feminine.

Kinder Aggugini
Birds, cowboys and horses peppered these pretty designs, in a palette of blue, green and orange, finished with re-vamped Doc Martens and paraded along to Usher's 'Yeah' and Kelis' 'Milkshake.

Jonathan Saunders
Stripes, chequer, florals and tartan, girlish, city, sporty luxe.

Maarten Van Der Horst- Fashion East
Girl meets boy as masculine lines come in feminine colours. Not forgetting pyjama party prints as pin-stripes blend with rose florals.

James Long- Fashion East
Russian architecture implores decadent fabrics and rich colours.

Aminaka Wilmont
Playing with the conflict between hard and soft, the collection was influenced by glass, both in its solid and molten states. This whole show was dark, moody and super-duper sexy.

Now it's back to more applying for internships that I won't get and jobs that don't exist!

i must admit...

She did look good...

Donning not one but three (but of course) Givenchy couture outfits, and a fantastic head-piece courtesy of the one and only Phillip Treacy, Madge looked pretty A-Okay.

And Ms Ciccone's penchant for designer didn't end there, dripping in Bvlgari jewels, her mitts in fingerless Givenchy and those tootsies of hers covered my Miu Miu, it was a treat for the peepers for anyone of fashionable inclination.

However, I'm not quite sure whether the 53 year-old should be doing this...

or this...

or this...

(Joined by LMFAO)

I must say the performance was pretty awesome, especially seeing Cee Lo Green in this outfit (Czech out the studded shoes!!)

Sexy ladies Nicki Minaj and M.I.A looked super hot as cheerleaders, in Fausto Puglisi outifts, their headwear from Erickson Beamon.

Naughty Brit M.I.A was critisized for "trying to steal the show" by flipping off the cameras and saying, dun, dun, dunnnn... "Shit".

But, err, who really gives a crap?

want

I want these DMs. I'm worried about the velvet/rain/snow/scuffing situation though.

How do velvet boots hold-up in adverse weather conditions? (Not very well I fear, and I don't want to be completely para every time it precipitates.)
